A horse-drawn sleigh or carriage, or a tinsel decorated car with Father Christmas as your driver could transport you to your venue and at the end of the ceremony when you exit as newlyweds why not have your guests ring miniature bells rather than shower you with confetti. If youre having a church wedding then you could also have the bells in the tower playing. Christmas carols can be played whilst the guests wait for your arrival and during intervals or why not sing them together during the service. Then theres the first dance song, so many Christmas chart tunes from over the years to choose from!

As a Christmas themed Bride you could opt to wear a silvery white wedding dress, accessorised with a faux fur bolero or wrap, alternatively (and to keep you extra toasty!) why not go for a cloak or a cape in a complimenting colour way. A fur hand muff will help stop your fingers turning blue and keep off the chill during outdoor photographs. Your bouquet could consist of Christmassy flowers and foliage such as poinsettias, mistletoe, holly and ivy or pinecones amongst the more classic flowers such as carnations, lilies or roses.

Venues for this time of year will get booked up quickly, so plan well in advance to guarantee you secure your perfect venue for where you wish your wedding to take place. Save the date cards are a good idea with this time of year being busy for family and friends. By using blank Christmas cards you could easily make these and your invitations yourself.

It is likely that the venue will already be decorated for the festive season thus saving you time and money. Ask what decorations they will be using or if you can visit the year before prior to your own wedding to see how it has been set up. This will give you a good starting ground. Candles placed on mirrors are fabulous centre features or use large vases and fill them with colour coordinated Christmas decorations. Christmas crackers, mini stocking or baubles could be your table place settings. An ice sculpture would make a dramatic feature at the venue whilst holly bush trees, hung mistletoe or pots of poinsettias will help bring the outdoors inside. Of course you cant not have a Christmas tree decorated in your wedding theme colours, which your wedding gifts could be left under. An ideal wedding favour is a personalised bauble or candle with your names and wedding date inscribed on it. Alternatively mini chocolate Santas or filled little stockings would go down a treat. A Santas grotto may be worth considering if there are going to be a large number of children at your wedding. If there is an open fire at your venue do insist that it is started especially if it is in a separate area. This will give your guests somewhere to escape to and relax.

If you have always dreamed of having a winter wedding then why not think about having a Christmas themed spectacular. By opting to have Christmas as your theme you instantly have your colour scheme and a vast of majority of the decorations for your venue sorted which in turn assists with the whole planning and preparation.

hey guys it’s Danielle with Danielle a Minnesota vlog here is May 2017 simple Christmas decor our tree is a beautiful Fraser Fir I keep it pretty simple like I just said the main theme is gold and sparkly so I have these golden ornaments from Target and the gold ribbon is from the Dollar Tree and I added the white poinsettias this year which are also from the Dollar Tree and I’m kind of liking what they are adding to the tree but I don’t put a lot on this my son usually has a tree in his room he doesn’t this year but that’s where we typically put more of the fun ornaments I got these pillows this year at Target I love that touch and then I have a site on this little decor in an antique wooden box I will link that above and below and this same entryway is shown in that site just some simple garland fairy lights and a few things both old and new new this year is this wreath from Target I absolutely love it it’s a little hard to see but it does have some LED lights that go on every night just simple and elegant I think I also added some garland and lights on the banister here’s a little view of what it looks like more in the dark I think this was around 30 or 35 dollars I want to say and I really loved it and this is our kitchen table James and I did these pinecones this year we found them on a walk and then in a ziplock bag we put cinnamon essential oil and let them sit for like a week and now they smell beautiful I just added some ornaments on a platter some Christmas candles and James is trying to steal Santa’s cookies so that’s everything I think it’s elegant and simple just enough Christmas for our tastes we don’t do anything in our bedroom or the bathrooms or the kitchen we keep it simple and fun and I hope you enjoy bye guys.
